History Teacher – Up to £150.00 per day DOE

Duddeston, Birmingham

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified History Teacher to join a secondary school in Duddeston, Birmingham.

‘An enhanced DBS on the update service is required for this role.’

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging and inspiring History lessons to secondary school pupils.
• Planning and preparing engaging and differentiated learning materials for Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school where possible.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience of teaching History within a UK secondary school setting.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Strong subject knowledge of the History curriculum.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress.
• A valid safeguarding certificate (or willing to complete one).
• An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience of teaching GCSE History.
• Experience of using a range of teaching and learning strategies, including ICT.
