Your Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of staff at the depot, ensuring excellent customer service is consistently delivered.
• Oversee staff training, development, recruitment, and appraisals.
• Ensure the health and safety of all employees and customers is met and all regulations are respected.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly records, reports, and documents accurately.
• Assess staff levels and capability to align recruitment and retention with future requirements.
• Sell labour and optimise utilisation and efficiency to achieve targets for aftersales absorption.
• Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the field operation of all machines, and be able to instruct customers/operators in their safe and efficient use, a key skill for an Agricultural Service Manager.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve disputes in an effective, professional, and timely manner.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent time-management abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational capabilities.
• Being conversant with the maintenance and service requirements of all machines sold.
• Computer literate with extensive knowledge of at least one recognised dealer management system.
• Experience as an Agricultural Service Manager or Automotive Service Manager is highly advantageous.
• A desire to lead and succeed in Devon.
