Key Responsibilities:
In this PCB Assembly Operative role, you’ll be involved in a range of practical and technical tasks:

• Carry out hand assembly and soldering of PCBs
• Complete through hole and surface mount placement by hand
• Clean and prepare PCBs to a high standard
• Perform visual inspection of solder joints
• Undertake PCB rework and modification
• Build prototypes and support the design team

What we’re looking for:
To succeed as a PCB Assembly Operative, you’ll need:

• At least 2 years’ experience in an electronics production environment
• Strong soldering skills with both leaded and lead-free materials
• Experience as a Production Operative within electronics manufacturing
• Experience preparing and assembling through hole components
• Experience as a Soldering Operative working with surface mount components (down to 0402)
• Confidence using basic hand tools such as pliers and screwdrivers

It would also be beneficial if you have:

• Experience using hot air and rework techniques
• IPC certification (current or previous)
