HGV Technician – Strood | £20-£24 per hour + excellent benefits and rotating shifts

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy dealership in Strood. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter looking for a stable role with a strong benefits package, structured working environment, and consistent shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

As an HGV Technician, you’ll play an important role in keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment

• Completing preventative maintenance and safety checks

• Carrying out MOT preparation and rectification work where required

• Working efficiently to dealership standards and manufacturer guidelines

• Completing accurate job cards and maintenance records

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with strong practical experience and a genuine interest in commercial vehicles.

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter

• Strong knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

• A good understanding of health and safety requirements

• Able to work independently and as part of a wider workshop team

• Reliable, organised and committed to delivering high-quality work
