HGV Technician – Strood | £22-£25 per hour + excellent benefits | Night Shift

We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy HGV dealership in Strood on a permanent night shift. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter looking for a stable role, excellent benefits and a consistent overnight working pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

As an HGV Technician, you’ll help keep the dealership’s commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and road-ready. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs

• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment

• Completing preventative maintenance and safety checks

• Carrying out MOT preparation and rectification work where required

• Following manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards

• Completing accurate job cards and maintenance records

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with solid commercial vehicle experience who is comfortable working independently during the night.

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter

• Strong knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs

• Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

• A good understanding of health and safety requirements

• Able to work independently and as part of a wider workshop team

• Reliable, organised and committed to maintaining high standards

• Comfortable working permanent night shifts
