Key Responsibilities:

As a Generator Engineer based in Birmingham, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out generator servicing, planned maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in the workshop and at customer sites.
• Reading electrical schematics to support accurate fault diagnosis.
• Inspecting generator units and resolving technical issues.
• Maintaining accurate service records and completing reports promptly.
• Building positive customer relationships through professional service.
• Following health and safety procedures and relevant industry standards.

What we’re looking for:

You’ll bring practical technical knowledge and a reliable approach, including:

• At least five years’ experience in generator servicing and repair.
• Experience as a Generator Fitter, Generator Service Engineer or within a similar role.
• A strong mechanical background and practical electrical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and electrical schematics.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility to work across different sites.
