Caretaker – Longsight, Manchester – £13.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

We are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join an education setting in Longsight, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual looking for a stable, ongoing assignment.

You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

About the Role:

As Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and repairs (e.g., minor plumbing, painting, carpentry).
• Cleaning and tidying of internal and external areas.
• Ensuring the security of the building, including locking/unlocking and monitoring CCTV.
• Grounds maintenance (e.g., litter picking, gardening).
• Dealing with deliveries and managing waste disposal.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Caretaker or in a similar role.
• Practical DIY skills and a good understanding of building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and can-do attitude.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
• Ongoing assignment.
