Salary: £34,683 – £41,957 Levels/DOE plus 25% shift allowance

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a Global Supplier, based in Poole. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join their team.

Continental Shift Pattern which goes across 4 weeks rota:

Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 06:00am – 18:00pm DAYS

Week 2 – Wednesday and Thursday 06:00am – 18:00pm DAYS

Week 3 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 18:00pm – 06:00am NIGHTS

Week 4 – Wednesday and Thursday 18:00pm – 06:00am NIGHTS

Responsibilities and Requirements-

Electrical Engineer role responsibilities-

• Maintain the Extrusion / Thermoforming machines ensuring minimal downtime
• Respond to machine breakdowns
• Diagnose and effectively deal with problems as they arise
• Support and improve the engineering planned maintenance program
• Able to effectively prioritise your workload
• Make sure stock is available to keep key equipment maintained
• Projects as/when required

Qualifications

• Qualified in the latest regulations (completed an apprenticeship or formal City & Guilds qualification)
• Able to diagnose issues, understand the root cause, and implement corrective action when required.
• Have knowledge of PLC’s, control panel experience & ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams
• You will be able to work under your own initiative and solve problems
• An excellent communicator, communication skills are paramount in understanding and communicating effectively with colleagues
• Able to work effectively within your team, department, and with Team Leaders/ Managers
• You should have relevant IT skills, good physical fitness, and good attention to detail
