We’re recruiting for an Electrician to join an established facilities team in Rugby, working within a secure prison environment. This role offers a stable, long-term position with structured working patterns and ongoing development.

As an Electrician, you’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on essential Electrical systems, ensuring a safe and compliant environment in Rugby.

Key Responsibilities:

In this Maintenance Electrician role, you will:

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across electrical systems
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs
• Undertake minor installation works and component replacements
• Conduct inspections and testing in line with regulations
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately
• Support general maintenance and operational requirements
• Work within strict Health & Safety procedures in a prison environment

What we’re looking for:

To be successful as an Electrician, you should have:

• City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation (Level 2+)
• 18th Edition certification (or willingness to update)
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Basic IT skills
• Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends
• Desirable knowledge of fire alarm and CCTV systems
