Grounds Maintenance Operative – Evesham

We’re recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a professional team.

Working across maintained grounds and recreational areas in Evesham, the Grounds Maintenance Operative will play an important role in ensuring outdoor spaces are kept safe, tidy and well presented. Key Responsibilities

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will support the maintenance and presentation of outdoor areas by:

• Carrying out grass cutting and hedge trimming

• Completing weed control and plant care tasks

• Supporting planting, pruning and seeding activities

• Clearing leaves and maintaining tidy grounds

• Litter picking and general site housekeeping

• Maintaining sports pitches and recreational areas

• Operating light plant equipment and power tools

• Supporting minor painting and drainage works

• Ensuring all tasks follow health and safety standards

What we’re looking for

To be successful as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you’ll ideally have:

• Full UK driving licence

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture

• Practical outdoor experience, possibly as a Gardener or general Labourer

• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures within maintenance environments

• Experience operating light plant machinery or similar equipment

• Weed spraying certification (desirable)

• Chainsaw related qualifications such as CS30 / CS31 / CS34 (advantageous)

• A proactive and reliable approach with the ability to work outdoors in all conditions

• Good teamwork skills and a willingness to learn new techniques
