Mobile Pump Engineer – West Midlands | Up to £41,000 + Overtime + Company Van

We’re recruiting for an experienced Mobile Pump Engineer to join a well-established and growing business covering the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a plant fitting background and pump experience looking for a stable, well-paid role with excellent earning potential, ongoing training and long-term career progression.

As a Mobile Pump Engineer covering the West Midlands, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of pumps and associated equipment across customer sites. This role would suit an experienced Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer or Field Service Engineer who has hands-on experience working with pumps, hydraulics and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Pump Engineer, you will:

• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair construction plant pumps and pumping equipment
• Carry out routine maintenance and preventative servicing on hydraulic, diesel and electric pump systems
• Fault-find mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair and replace worn or damaged components, including seals, bearings, hoses, valves and motors
• Test pumps and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation before returning to service
• Attend site breakdowns and provide prompt emergency repair support to minimise equipment downtime
• Install, commission and decommission pumping equipment on construction and infrastructure sites

What we’re looking for

To be successful as a Mobile Pump Engineer, you’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer or similar
• Essential experience working with pumps or pumping equipment
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Experience maintaining construction plant, industrial equipment or similar machinery
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and mechanical systems
• Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent desirable)
• Full UK driving licence
• A reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
