Our client in Taunton is seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in light vehicle maintenance and repair, coupled with a proven track record in diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical components, and more.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
• Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to pinpoint problems and troubleshoot complex repairs.
• Follow manufacturer’s specifications and industry best practices to ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, preferably in a dealership or independent workshop.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to interpret fault codes.
• Knowledge of various vehicle makes and models.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
