We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join a well-established business supporting customers across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. The role will involve travelling to customer sites across the area, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and breakdown repairs, with workshop-based work when required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing construction and agricultural plant machinery
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out breakdown repairs at customer sites
• Completing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identifying additional repair requirements and communicating these to customers
• Completing job sheets and service documentation accurately
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience as a Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer or similar
• Strong mechanical engineering and fault-finding experience
• Experience working on construction or agricultural machinery
• Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and diagnostics
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults independently
• Full UK driving licence
• Engineering qualification or apprenticeship desirable
