Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out on-site diagnostics, servicing and repairs on forklifts and material-handling equipment

• Completing routine maintenance, inspections and safety checks

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults

• Replacing or repairing faulty parts and components

• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation

• Providing technical advice to customers on equipment use

• Ensuring all work meets health and safety standards and manufacturer requirements

• Managing van stock, tools and equipment effectively

• Attending breakdowns and prioritising workloads

• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at every site

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from engineers with practical experience in machinery maintenance and repair. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous experience working on forklifts, plant, agricultural machinery, HGVs or powered access equipment

• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills

• A reliable and organised approach to mobile engineering

• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• Good communication and customer service skills

• A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality work
