We are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Engineer to join an established forklift business based in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a workshop-based position, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment.
You’ll work as part of an experienced engineering team, with access to manufacturer training, technical support and the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of modern forklift equipment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Forklift Engineer, you will:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and materials handling equipment within the workshop
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Complete planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Carry out inspections and safety checks
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
- Strip, repair and rebuild components where required
- Complete warranty and internal repairs to a high standard
- Maintain accurate service records and job sheets
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Vehicle Technician or similar
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Experience servicing and repairing forklift trucks or similar machinery
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive approach and good attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- A genuine interest in developing within the forklift industry
