Key Responsibilities:

As a Hire Desk Controller, you’ll manage customer enquiries, bookings and equipment availability while coordinating deliveries and collections.

• Handle hire enquiries and understand customer equipment requirements
• Process bookings, quotations and hire documentation accurately
• Check equipment availability and allocate plant
• Coordinate deliveries and collections with drivers and depot teams
• Keep customers updated throughout the hire process
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate hire system records
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with relevant industry experience who enjoys working with customers and thrives in a busy environment.

• Experience in cranes, lifting, powered access or plant hire
• Previous experience as a hire controller or similar
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service
• Confident working under pressure
• Good IT skills and ability to use hire management systems
