Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping customer equipment running safely and efficiently:

• Carry out on-site diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on Forklift and material-handling equipment

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks

• Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults

• Replace or repair faulty parts and components

• Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation

• Provide technical guidance to customers on correct equipment use

• Ensure all work meets safety standards and manufacturer requirements

• Manage van stock, tools, and equipment effectively

• Respond to breakdown callouts and prioritise workloads

• Maintain a professional, customer-first approach on every visit

What we’re looking for:

We’re keen to speak with engineers who bring hands-on experience, including:

• Background working on forklifts, plant, agriculture, HGVs, or powered access

• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

• A reliable, organised approach to mobile engineering work

• Confidence working independently across Ipswich, Suffolk

• A positive attitude and pride in delivering excellent service as a Forklift engineer
