We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Groundcare Engineer to join an established service team in Maldon, Essex. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work across a varied range of professional groundcare, horticultural and related machinery, carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics at customer sites and the branch.
Reporting to the Service Development Manager, you’ll play an important role in keeping customer machinery operating efficiently while developing your technical knowledge across a wide range of modern equipment.

As a Mobile Groundcare Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs, servicing and maintenance on professional groundcare, horticultural and related machinery.
Travelling to customer sites to diagnose and resolve machinery faults.
Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults accurately, including interpreting fault codes and machine software.
Troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines and mechanical issues.
Identifying and replacing faulty parts and components in line with manufacturer specifications.
Completing repairs and maintenance to a high standard, resolving issues efficiently and wherever possible first time.
Completing digital reports accurately, including equipment condition, repair history and maintenance recommendations.
Providing clear updates to Service Managers, Service Advisors and customers on repair progress and any issues.
Following health and safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines and correct PPE requirements.
We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Groundcare Engineer with:
Previous experience as a time-served Service Engineer working on modern groundcare, agricultural or construction machinery.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines and machine software.
The ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
Excellent customer service, communication, IT and reporting skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and resolve issues efficiently.
Previous experience working on groundcare machinery is desirable.
A full UK driving licence.
